Golf Cart Rules & Regulations
- All operators must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
- Golf carts must be operated only on designated campground roads and paths.
- No more than the rated capacity of passengers are permitted on the cart at any time.
- Children must remain seated at all times while the cart is in motion.
- Golf carts must not be operated after dark unless equipped with functioning headlights.
- Speed limit is 5 mph throughout the campground.
- No operation of golf carts under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Renter is responsible for any damage to the golf cart during the rental period.
- Golf carts must be returned in the same condition as rented.
- Campground management reserves the right to revoke golf cart privileges at any time.
Liability Waiver & Release
In consideration of being permitted to rent and operate a golf cart at Sebago's Crooked River Campground ("Campground"), located in Casco, Maine, the undersigned Renter, on behalf of themselves and any authorized operators listed above, hereby agrees to the following:
Assumption of Risk: Renter acknowledges that the operation of a golf cart involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and death. Renter voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with the use of the golf cart.
Release of Liability: Renter hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue Sebago's Crooked River Campground, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and assigns (collectively "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by Renter or any authorized operator, or to any property belonging to Renter, while using or operating the golf cart, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
Indemnification: Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the use of the golf cart by Renter or any authorized operator, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
Damage Responsibility: Renter accepts full financial responsibility for any damage to the golf cart or campground property caused during the rental period. Renter agrees to pay for all repairs or replacement costs as determined by Campground management.
Maine Law: This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Cumberland County, Maine.
Severability: If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
